I have heard that they are making a movie of "The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle" based off the book by Avi. It's categorized as "In-development". I haven't been able to find much information on it, as not a lot has been released. It's about a thirteen-year-old girl who is the only passenger on a ship crossing from England to America and there's a mutiny planned on board. Charlotte is american born but raised in England, so I don't know which nationality they'll use. I love the book and it'll be an amazing movie! This is pretty much all I could find: www.hollywood.com/movies/fulldetail/id/3480646

I've never read it but it sounds like a good book and would make a good movie.

Yeah, Charlotte would be so hard to portray. I'm so excited to see it though, assuming that it doesn't fall through or something, though.

Why would it be hard? I've never read the book, so I'm genuinely wondering, I'm not being mean!

She's just a very layered character. The book's written from her point of view with her thoughts and everything, and it's a lot about a struggle with her conscience, and her figuring out what happened on the book's last voyage and stuff like that. Most things she never says out loud, you just hear her thoughts. She has so many different sides to her, too, that come out at different times throughout the book. I definately reccommend reading it though, it's one of the best books I've ever read, and I'm a really hard book critic.

Morgan Freeman is playing Zachariah and Pierce Brosnan is playing Captain Jaggery. They both seem really good for the parts!!

That's AWESOME!!! I've always pictured Morgan Freeman as Zachariah ever since I read it in fifth grade! Pierce Brosnan isn't who came into my mind first, but I think that will ROCK!!!! I've wanted this to be made into a movie since the first time I read it! YAYYY!!!
