yer we shud all go even tho we dnt no were they r yet lol I'm just going to send a tape in. Costs much less money, and also I don't have to get out of school to send a tape. I'm going to try to record it next weekend if I can....also if you do that you need to send a headshot and CV, also a letter is preferable.

Would I be able to send a tape if I live in New Zealand? I can put on convincing accents, English is first and only language ANDDDDDDD I am between the age!

hi everyone, i just joined and i love this site!!!!! i'm going 2 send a tape for auditioning for meggie. Insa said that Meggie should prabably have a British accent but if having an accent detracts from the acting then is fine if you use your regular voice.

I'm going through the entire book, reading it, writing what Cornelia says she looks like and good parts I like!

Yeah, basically make your own monolouge but keep it in the spirit of Meggie. Like, don't go talking in your monologue about how much you love makeup, when Meggie doesn't. Just stay in character.

Anyone able to post the entire description of what Meggie looks like? I can't remember much of her description!
My main thing I am writing about is my love for reading and writing and I am going throuhg picking the best scene now!

In my opinion, the best monologue to read for the DVD would be when Meggie reads from the paper Fenoligo wrote and brought the shadow to life. You could really show all of your acting skills. Cornelia really never gave a full description of Meggie cause she wanted readers to imagine her for themselfs. She only says she has fair hair like her mother, and fair hair doesn’t just have to mean blonde hair. Insa said definite cast members have already been chosen. If Resa has been cast, then the casting people probably have a description of Meggie, but then again what do I know?!

OMG kate i saw your entry at Guestbook!!! I recognized u cus u live in New Zealand and not many other people live there.... and you can choose your monologue from the book. i agree that when Meggie reads at the end is the best scene for the monologue... thats the one that i'm doing. i have a tip for everyone, even if your nervous, SMILE!!!! use all of that nervousness and put it into your acting. because the agency will remember someone who smiles and is polite and nice more than a one who always looks down and you can barely understand what they say because they are so quiet and stuttering.
