Ok, i know this is really off, cause she's old and has dark hair, but I could see someone like Emily Browning from series of unfortuneate events pulling off a good Meggie.

Errrr......not really. Well, maybe. I don't care about looks too much because they could always change it, did you see what the did to Keanu Reeves in Little Buddha? They changed his skin color and everything whilst airbrushing! Just as long as she can act is fine, so maybe. But Emily's too old.

I just re-watched a Series of Unfortunate Events, and now I think Emily would be perfect, but if only she were in the 11-13 range. Oh well, I STILL think an unknown is better. Unknowns (who then become known by the time the movie comes out) bring more originality to a character than some actors. Don't get me wrong, Emily Osment, Meryl Streep, and Anne Hathaway all bring that, but It's just better for an unknown to be cast.

yea an unknown would be best, it would bring more to the film as the actress wouldn't be typecast from any other roles and fresh faces to a big movie always make people inquisitive about it and they go and watch it

Ok, so now's the time to suggest known actresses for the part of Meggie. Of course an unknown should be cast, but think of this as a bit of a game.....Ok..... Miley Cyrus..... www.mileycyrus.comEmily Osment AnnaSophia Robb Dakota Fanning (NOT REALLY!) I think an unkown needs to play Meggie because all those actress have got themselves a name by doing different things and personally, they aren't strong enough! Did you see Georgie Henley play Lucy in Narnia? No other little girl would COULD have been that strong! And Emily Browning is 18 in September! Defitantly too old!
